Road salt is costly — to taxpayers, businesses and organizations, and to the health of waterbodies and private drinking water wells. For the past six years, the Lake George Association (LGA) has spearheaded, and served as the primary underwriter, of the Lake George Road Salt Reduction Initiative in Upstate New York, bringing together leading winter management experts, scientists, municipalities and the private sector in a collaborative effort to reduce chloride pollution in the Queen of American Lakes.
The LGA and Lake Champlain Sea Grant are proud to present this recording of the 6th Annual Adirondack Champlain Regional Salt Summit, held on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the beautiful Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center in Lake George, NY.
Over the course of this information-packed event, you’ll learn about the latest strategies and technologies for safely reducing road salt use in your community and on your property. You can view the Summit agenda by scrolling down beneath the video window.
On behalf of the LGA, Lake Champlain Sea Grant and our generous sponsors, thank you for your interest in road salt reduction. We encourage you to view our list of sponsors below and learn how they can be of service to you.
